WEEK OF DANCE MOVEMENT APID® THERAPY

THE WEEK OF DANCING-MOVEMENT ITALIAN THERAPY was born in 2016, on the push and conception of Simonetta Ottone, then Councilor of the National Board and today President.

Dynamic and tenacious the DanzaMovimentoTerapia in the national panorama that emerges from the Week of the DanzaMovimentoTerapia, confirming at each edition a growing interest and involvement.

Dozens and dozens of places are the protagonists of the WEEK OF ITALIAN DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY, more than twenty years after the birth of APID®, the Association that represents and regulates its profession.

Squares, schools, hospitals, theaters, stations, libraries, institutional buildings, nursing homes, family homes, communities, day centers, social and cultural centers, libraries, shopping centers, art, dance and theater schools and an infinity of other places that, for a moment, an hour, a day, a week, stopped, LISTENED and then DANCED. Together.

From Arquata del Tronto to Trento, from Ragusa to Turin, from Reggio Calabria to Milan, from Naples to Genoa, passing through Palermo, Catania, Rome, Livorno, Florence, Perugia, Monza, Vercelli, Aci Reale, Spoleto, in a joyful succession of large and small provinces, capitals and beyond, small urban centers, villages, hamlets.

The Local Sections of Sicily, Lazio, Tuscany, Lombardy, Piedmont / Liguria, Umbria, Emilia Romagna, together with APID SUD (Campania, Puglia, Calabria) and dozens of members scattered in numerous Italian provinces, have invited people to a new gesture :

giving Quality to one's Time, to one's Places, to one's Relationships.

In an era in which Time is at the same time the most overestimated but most underutilized element, the * Italian * danzamovimentoterapeutics have more than symbolically reconstituted a sense of belonging to their own communities and to the largest community in the country of Italy.

The DanzaMovimentoTerapia (DMT) is the dance that looks far, which has theoretical and scientific bases and can be applied, with methods and methodological reflections in constant depth, to a wide range of areas: from socio-educational, to rehabilitation, to the clinic, research and prevention, in contact with every type of human population and every environmental reality.

The Italian history of DMT APID® is solid and preciously varied, in the specificities of the phenomena and environmental contexts. This is what gives depth to our work and the testimony we can provide to the whole discipline.

The broad scope of the APID® projects, included in a European design for the enhancement of national differences, in the study guidelines and methods of application of the DMT, helps us to find even stronger points of contact with European and American colleagues.

In some way it is the function of Dream, of Desire, of Possibility, of Resilience that gives uniqueness to this discipline and that puts, not only in the network, but in relation, the various and different parts, the islands to the continent, and the continent. that continues to dance and to evoke the islands. A comparison, therefore, very rich and precious, with shared training, methods, deontology and ethics (what an obsolete word!).

The institutions have grasped the importance of the event and have sponsored and often actively supported the initiatives, making a difference in terms of the possibility of involvement and inclusion for the citizens of their territories.

The Fourth Edition of THE WEEK OF DMT APID®, from 29 September to 6 October 2019, will start from Tuscany, specifically from Livorno with the support and patronage of the Municipality of Livorno.

Since the demonstration began, attention has firstly been focused on the so-called “peripheries”, on the smaller centers, where we consider it particularly important to take significant initiatives for citizens.

Also in this Edition we will continue to talk about what our work moves above all in people, in the realities and in the many sectors where it is applied.

Many places and cities that, starting from Livorno, will mobilize this year:

from Reggio Calabria to Turin, from Palermo to Milan, from Naples to Livorno, Genoa, Vercelli, Venice, Ascoli Piceno, Rome, Frosinone, Ragusa, Catania, Rivoli, Florence, Vicenza, Bari, Perugia, Parma, Modena, Como, Syracuse , Bergamo, Grosseto, Padua, Novara, Monza, Foligno, are just some of the cities that will join in this global action; an appointment that rises to a wish and an invitation to rediscover the most authentic face of our country, in all its “pieces, beautiful and different”, to empty it of fear and fill it with hope!
