THE HOUSE I LIVE IN

This workshop intends to explore the sense of space, in relation to the sense of our perception of the inside and the outside. In the field of mental health, diversity, addictions and for a condition of widespread well-being, it is central to feel ourselves internally, to then go towards the space of the other, inhabiting the relationship.

Not only will we see space as a physical space, directions, levels and inclinations of the body that can have their own expressiveness and communicativeness, but we will also see the specific connection with the Qualities (Effort) that Laban also called dynamic stress.

In particular we will see the Space Quality, which invites us to connect with the outside world, to be physically present in the surrounding environment. The two ways of connecting with the “Space” Quality offer different possibilities: one flexible, broad, which literally lets us see more options, more things, the other more specific and selective which excludes everything else. Grasping many things at the same time has its advantages in certain situations, but focusing and selecting is also a faculty that we operate in life.

In DMT, Space is the central element in finding the gateway to the world of the other. Through the Fux Method and the Symbolic Key Method, the possibilities of living in an external space will emerge, starting from the inside, from one's own borders, in relation to the surrounding environment and the other * ._ cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_

Elements related to the Laban / Bartenieff System, elements of the Human Movement, in the multiple declinations, motor, emotional and symbolic sense; from the reference to the Fux Method and to the Method in Symbolic Key (De Vera), a composite and integrated work will be developed.

The laboratory wishes to provide greater knowledge of the technical tools to be used to work with DMT in the various users; it will also be very useful for those interested in movement disciplines and their possible applications.

Experiences in this area will be illustrated .

Lorella Rapisarda, teacher, choreographer, dancer, Graduated in Laban / Bartenieff Movement Analysis, Nikolais-Louis Certified Technique Teacher, Shiatsu Operator.
